Q. I cannot activate my account (the link does not work, I cannot log on, etc.)

A. This error usually occurs because email programs such as AOL's disturb the format of our link. The link is very long, and will usually wrap around to 2 or more lines, like the following:

The result is that you must put your activation link in your browser manually. To do that, just copy the entire link from your "eGames Online Membership Confirmation" email (it will look very similar to the above) and paste it into your browser's address bar, then press the ENTER key. You must get the whole link into the address bar (including all the gibberish after "code="), making sure there aren't any spaces in the middle.

In most cases you can simply select the link in your email with your mouse, right-click on this text, and select "Copy". (Consult your email program's help if this is not the case). Then right-click on the address bar in your browser and select "Paste".

If you did everything correctly, you should press the ENTER key and go to a web page that says your membership has been activated.

In the worst-case scenario, you would have to type it in manually.

Q. My password doesn't work.

A. First, make sure that your membership has been activated. You should have recived an email with your username, passwword, and a link to activate your membership. After clicking on the link, you should have seen a web page saying "Your membership has been activated". If you did not recive this email, please make sure that:

  1. You used a valid email address when your registered.
  2. Your spam-blocking software has not blocked the email. (It is best if you add "egames" to your pass-through or "white" list).

If your membership is active and you still cannot log on, please note that the username and password are case sensitive. Be sure that your Caps-Lock key is not on by mistake, and that you are typing it EXACTLY as it appears in the confirmation email (including capitals).

Q. I lost my password/username.

A. Go to the main page at www.egamesonline.com . In the upper right corner, in the bottom of the login box, is a link that says "Lost username or password? Click here." Clicking this link will go to a page with a form to enter your email address (you must use the email address associated with your account). Click the "Send me a new password" button, and a new password will be sent to your email address.

Q. Can I change my password?

A. To change your password, log in on the main page www.egamesonline.com. In the top right corner, in the "log in" box, is a link that says "To view or change your information, including your password, click here". Use this link to change your password.

Q. I cannot see the entire game, the bottom gets cut off by the window.

A. This only happens on monitors set to 800x600 resolution. It is often do to popup blockers resizing the window. Our games are designed to open in a specifically sized and formatted window. Make sure you set your popup blocker to allow for popup windows on the eGamesOnline.com website.

Aside from the popup blocker issue, the best way to fix this problem is to set your screen resolution to 1024x768 or higher. This will give the popup window plenty of room and will make your overall web browsing experience much better.
