Cinemaware Marquee Announces Contest Challenging Gamers to Rename Space Rangers 2

LANGHORNE, Pa., June 14, 2006 -- Cinemaware Marquee, an affiliated label of eGames, Inc. (OTC BB:EGAM.OB), today announced that it will soon launch a contest encouraging gamers to delve into critically-acclaimed Space Rangers™ 2: Rise of the Dominators and suggest a new name for the PC-based space adventure. The grand prize winner will receive a fully-loaded Falcon Northwest PC with a retail value of approximately $2,600, while runners-up will receive games from Cinemaware Marquee.

“From its selection as a PC Gamer Editor’s Choice with a score of 92% to 4.5 out of 5 ratings from both Computer Games Magazine and Gamespy, Space Rangers 2 is one of the highest rated games of the year,” said eGames VP of Sales and Marketing Rich Siporin. “However, a handful of reviews, while giving Space Rangers an ‘A’ grade, compared the game’s name to a ‘B’-movie. Between the action-packed robot battles, treacherous space pirates, and occasional cockroach racing, we happily concede Space Rangers 2 shares some common ground with B-movies. But we know that’s where the comparison ends. We also know how creative the gaming community can be, and we want its members to take a crack at producing an alternate ‘A’ level name for Space Rangers 2.”

To participate in the contest, entrants will fill out a form that answers brief gameplay questions and suggests a new name for Space Rangers 2. Winners will then be selected randomly from entrants who have completed the form. The contest will begin on July 3, 2006 and will end December 31, 2006. Winners will be selected on January 17, 2007.
